Snickerdoodles

This recipe worked for a while…stopped working in Europe for me. See the “take-2” recipe.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cinn/Sugar topping

  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Blend butter, sugar + eggs together.
  2. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, + salt.
  3. Add to creamed mixture.
  4. Roll into walnut sized balls
  5. Roll balls in cinn-sugar mixture.
  6. Bake @ 400° F / 204° C, 8-10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Cool on racks.
